OVER 8-K PUBLIC SAFETY PERSONNEL DEPLOYED TO SECURE ADB MEETING 2018
8,504 public safety personnel, composed of 7,700 cops, local government, fire, and medical emergency services personnel were deployed on Friday to secure the 51st Asian Development Bank (ADB) Board of Governors’ Annual Meeting 2018 or dubbed as “ADB Manila 2018.”
The major event security framework will be utilized by the Philippine National Police (PNP) as the annual meeting will be held on May 3 to 6 in ADB Headquarters, 6 ADB Avenue, Mandaluyong City.
Aside from Board of Governors of the ADB and their spouses, more or less 3,000 delegates are expected to attend the conference composed of 67 Finance and economic planning ministers, international media and other private business visitors.
Acting Directorate for Operations Chief Superintendent Ma O Aplasca emphasized the PNP is committed to deliver airtight security strategy for the successful conduct of the ADB meeting and other collateral meetings, which deems to be the opportune time to provide guidance on ADB administrative, financial, and operational directions.
