DOTr TARGETS TO EASE VEHICLE LICENSE PLATE BACKLOG BY SEPTEMBER
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) eyes to resolve the backlog in vehicle license plates by September this year.
This was after a new license plate-making facility was inaugurated at the Land Transporation Office (LTO) main office in Quezon City.
According to DOTr Secreatry Arthur Tugade, about 500,000 license plates are expected to be released by August or September this year.
Tugade added the facility will be able to produce up to 22,000 car plates per day that will ease the 3.8 million license plate backlog from July 2016 to March 2018.
